Well I'll be ordering the 14 in the next couple of days and I was wondering if there was anyone/anywhere to get handles for it. Micarta would be nice, but I've also heard good things about G-10. I think I remember hearing that Izula handles will work but you just have to sand them down, but I was wondering if anyone does the full handle(covers the hole) in micarta. Thanks in advance guys!

theres a machinist guy on here whose name escapes me(but I'm sure someone will quickly here) does some nice ones, but I don't think has any atm. there are some g-10 ones on eBay more or less like the Izula ones in shape but more than 2 times the cost, think I'm gonna end up making my own or just go for the Izula ones they are cheap.

Ka-Bar's coming out with a "black & orange" micarta set on Jan. 16th... I'd probably just hold out for those or mod an Izula set.

I didn't know that. Thanks for posting this up.

The info been out for a while. Alot of stuff has been slipping through the threads.

I'll have photos and stuff from SHOT on all the stuff that is going to be released in 2012.

I actually had no idea that they were coming out until I heard that from KaBar. I wanna know what they look like just as bad... KaBar's wording is "BK14HNDL BECKER BLACK AND ORANGE SCALES FOR ESKABAR". Black and orange? Pretty cool can't wait to see the pics but they'll be out soon enough. I've never wanted to go to SHOT so badly, might have to make it up this time.

Sorry to bring this thread back to ask this stupid question but will there be a set of orange and a set of black handles, or will it be black and orange on one handle. Again sorry for the dumb question.

I have been under the impression that there will be two different handle sets available. One orange and one black. But I am by no means plugged in as much as some others on here, just what I have gathered.

Not a dumb question I wondered the same thing.

two sets. one set left and right of black. one set left and right orange. if what i heard is correct, you get all 4 slabs total, for $10.

you can then have 4 permutations. up to you.

it's funny when you guys make the weird guesses and second guess the information or assume the worst. bi-colored handles? really? hahahhaha :)

keeps us on our toes it does.

:D

Lol thank you sir for the clarifications.

Is there any info on the design or look of these scales? I just bought the Izula scales before reading this thread. Do you guys know if they will leave the hole at the base of the handle exposed like the Izula scales, or will the be like a downsized Becker scale the covers the entire handle?
