BK 14 Sheath.

I have a sheath that came with a BK 14 that I purchased several years ago. It is one of the normal plastic form fitted sheaths but for a Tanto type blade. Does anyone know if a BK 11 or 14 was ever or will ever be made with a tanto blade?

Neither knife was made with a tanto-style blade, but the early version of the factory sheath had the "outline" for the knife as a tanto-style. Why, I do not know. You have an early version of the factory sheath.

There were some early prototypes that were tanto tip. They never made it to production. I guess at the time there was still a possibility of the tanto being put into production.
