BK-14 Zytel on an Izula

In another thread, I mentioned that I had put my extra set of BK14 scales on one of my Izulas. Someone asked about the fit so I thought that I would post it up.

I used the Izula to fit the scales. That's how little needs to be taken off. I shaved approximately 1/32" - 1/16" off of each of the three corners of the inner part of each scale.

Fit is pretty close to perfect except for a small lip on the spine. The factory sheath still fits fine. That's it, good to go.

I believe you mean to say BK14 sir. Eskabar, not Tweener.

Looks great though. I love the tapered firesteel(?) notch on it.

Crap! Thanks bud, corrected. I'd just finished honing my 16 and I guess that's where my mind was. 16 scales on an Izzy would be "something" for sure. :D Thanks, I put the firesteel notch on it before the finish wore off and I stripped it.
