I've not heard of anyone using kydex as a handle liner, but I guess it would work depending on the thickness of the kydex. Most of us use thinner plastics for liners.

Agreed. Can't see any reason why it wouldn't work....it's a thermoplastic probably not too dissimilar from the DVD cases and cutting boards frequently used here. Pus, many colors to choose from and relatively cheap. Rock on.
If you do get them snapped, let it sit for about a week to stretch. I've done this, even over stretched a bit to make it even easier. But it wasn't as thick as kydex.
