BK 15 or BK5?

Hey guys. So I was contemplating getting a BK5 or BK15 for general around the farm type of use. It would be mostly used for chopping very small branches, shrubbery, vines, etc.
So I was wondering, would the BK5 be better for this, or the BK15? I obviously thought the BK5 would because of its length. But it seems that, with the BK15 being smaller, it would be easier to use in these light tasks.

Any opinions? Also, please feel free to post about how you use your BK5/15.

Thanks guys.

It's possible to chop stuff with a 5 but you'd have to be able to pull off a wicked wrist snap to chop with a 15. Depending on the size of shrubbery.

I like the 5 better.
It's big enough to do big knife work and still nimble enough to accomplish finer tasks.

By the way....
Have you given any thought to the BK4 Machax for around the farm?....
It works well as a hatchet and excels at finer work too.
In my opinion it's the most versatile tool in the whole lineup.

^^^what he said...but if i had to choose between 5 and 15, i ll go 5 all the way...same blade only longer,bigger,uncut...!

I'd go for both!
All honesty though I'd say the BK5 for what you're looking for Pirate!

Man that's crazy, no tracking order from them or anything?

Nope. The knife shop ordered it for me so I didn't pay for it yet. I just want it to get to the store so I can throw my money down and start hacking and slashing like Link in a field of grass arbitrarily.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'll definitely look into getting a BK5.
The BK4 and BK9 both seem to be nice blades, but the BK5 seems like it would be more use full with slashing (which is what I'd be using it for mostly).
It also doesn't hurt that I think I'm in love with the BK5/15's blade shape.

In time, I'll probably end up getting a BK9 and BK4 anyway. Both are knives I've admired for a while.

Very interesting relation lol!
And they should be able to track the knife shipment to their store, that's weird.
Hopefully it comes in this week!

Hey...it's THE KING....! Just sayin
I refer to mine as 'her', stillthinking of a good name for her!

One of us! One of us! :p
You'll be happy any path you choose, seems like any Beckeer is a good Becker.

The 5 is very slicey. I know I love mine so you definitely can't go wrong with it.

Are you sure you don't want to ask, "Which knife should I get FIRST, the BK5 or the BK15?"
(Notice which one I put first.)

Kudos to Tommy the Who for the drop dead gorgeous scales, they jazz up a Becker nicely!

Haha, thanks for correcting me. I, naturally meant that. The BK15 is still on my shopping list.;)
I also plan on getting some scales from tommy.
