Well, after some head scratches deciding which BK was going to be the first, the 16 was the winner!!!

The next one is going to be the 10... and then a 15 and a 2 and a 17 and....

Meanwhile I´m going to set an electro etcher and mustard or tabasco for a forced patina and some kydex for an extra sheath.

This is a great forum with a lot of great info.

Regards!

You'll love the BK16! And the 10,15,2, and 17...lol :D
Welcome to the forum!
Make sure you pist up some pics of that new 16. Then go use it hard and post up some more pics!

The 16 is an excellent beginning. It is the sweet spot in the Becker lineup. Not too big, not too small. And, a lot of bang for the buck.

a fine choice for an all around knife that will do most anything you need a knife to do.

The purpose of the BK-16 is for general use in camping.

I was thinking about a BK-2 for debranching for camp fires and constructions on scouts camping.

And the BK-10 for when a BK-2 is to much.

The BK-15 place is at the the BBQ in the camp kitchen.

Well, I think I'm covered and justified for the moment to prevent fulminating eye-rays from wife... I hope!

Welcome, Great choice on the 16.
I really like the 16. I wish I'd have bought it instead of the 2, as my first Becker.
Don't get me wrong, the two is a fine tool as well, just not as nimble as the 16.
I recently picked up a 10 and modified it to closely match the profile of the 2. I haven't had any dirt time with it yet (shoot I haven't seen dirt since November) but it is sharp and ready to go out and thrash some wood. I'm hoping it will work out well for heavier jobs that I might not be comfortable using the 16 for.
