BK-16 spacers

I received my BK-16 today. Great looking all around knife but the handle is small for my hands. I usually take XL or XXL gloves. I'm thinking that putting in some spacers will help. Do any of our illustrious forum members make spacers for the BK-16? Thanks.

J,

When I got my Tweeners, that was one of the first issues I worked through.

While I feel the handle slabs could be thicker, you need to be aware of the that once you get past adding .030" per side (for a total of 1/16" extra thickness) the factory sheath snaps get virtually impossible to close securely.

I should have both .030" and .060" liners in various colors made up once I get the milling setup done for my Tweener grips. It will be about another two weeks.

One word of advice, there is not very much slack in the retention straps and if you space it out too far they wont snap closed

Same problem I'm having. It's not like I couldn't use it, but still not very comfortable for me.

Yeah I've got short fingers and big palms. Wouldn't consider my hands large though, and I find the handles are way too thin. I will be attempting some Xbox case liners, easy to do and I think they might solve the problemo. I will see tonight.

When I used .060" thick they felt really good. Much more supportive than the factory thickness but in no way so thick that they would be cumbersome. They would work fine for anyone using a custom sheath.

You mean like these??? :D

I posted this photo way back on 3/16 when the LE models first came out.

Despite what Uncle Ethan says, I have big hands, too, and I like the way the spacers feel.
