In progress pics, sorry for the quality, phone pics in bad lighting.

This photo is right after the stripping, trying to show the etch there:

Here's a little bit into the sanding of the bevel, will update with better pics when finished:

The knife just looks and FEELS amazing. This is just a phenomenal design and I give two thumbs up.:thumbup:

Will add pictures once I strip and patina.

I don't think I can resist the clip point..... not that I want to.

these appear to be outselling the other two so far? go figure

I like drop points better, but I still like the looks of a clip point too. I wouldn't mind having one of these.

I will definitely be getting the 17...and others. Where did you pick it up? I figure I must have missed an offer somewhere along the Beckerhead route.

oh boy, did you :)

SMKW has a limited set of early production models. there was a coupon for cheap shipping, but i think it's expired. shipping is nearly $15 on top of $15 more than the production blades will be in a few weeks. only real advantage in ordering now is; getting SOMETHING early, and in the case of the BK16, getting the weird grind :)

a lot of people are going to wait.

I'm waiting for the 17 and 15. When they hit, hoo boy, I just might get two of each. I love that clip-pointed honey so much...

The clip point is the only one I just COULD NOT wait for. The size, ergos, blade shape, everything about it appeals to me, and I like sharp and pointies. I will probably be picking up another bk-17 for my brother enlisting as an Infantryman, and a bk-15 for myself when they come into regular production.

The blade is currently sitting in citristrip as I type, stripped and sanded down photos to come..

Those post-strip pictures are really nice! Man I can't wait to get my hands on some release date ones!
