When I asked this same question someone said, "It's a sharpened pry bar!" When I opened the box that was the best description I got! They are 1/4" thick- tough- and will take abuse.

its an excellent knife. if i was forced to narrow it down to just a couple knives i could keep...that would DEFINITELY be one thatd stay.

I got this knife about three months ago and its a great knife. This knife can take a major beating and hold up well...if SHTF this would be the fixed blade that I would have on my side. I highly recommend this blade.

I have one I bought years ago, when they first came out, and it's not quite 1/4" thick, it's just a tiny bit thinner. I'm having a brain-fart, what's the standard width between 3/16 and 1/4?? Anyway, yes it is thick, but the wide blade gives you plenty of grind.

I have had one for several years know and sharpened pry bar fits it perfectly! It really is an amazing knife. My only complaint is the sheath. Its not the best. It does what its meant to but its just not the most comfortable. I always carry it when i go hiking/camping though. It is a very comfortable and incredibly strong knife! I just cant say enough great things about it, and for the price, Its an awesome deal!

BEST. KNIFE. EVER.

It's a fantastic knife - does a fair bit of everything.

after owning mine for 9 and 1/2 years now, i recently decided to dress her up a bit. it has more than proven its worth over the years, so if any knife deserved some custom leather and micarta, it was gonna be my favorite hard use knife.

If you are looking for a tank, this one will fill the bill. Personally, it is too much of a tank for me.

Great hard use knives. One of the blades that I'm sure can take pretty much anything I throw at it, and be just fine after I resharpen it. It's quite hefty for the length though. Big thick piece of steel. If you're looking for something light and nimble, this is not it.
