Now all I gotta do is find some custom wooden bk-2 scales hmmmmmm :)

That's very cool looking! I've been going to try grapefruit for a while. I keep forgetting. Now I have to try it. Did you put the blade in the grapefruit, or put the juice on the blade? Thanks

Looks cool. We're you just cutting it and leaving it out or did you stab it and leave it in the fruit? Just curious

Wow that turned out really nice. I would also like to know how you went about getting this look. would like to try it on my Opinel then maybe my BK-2 as well.

Thanks guys!

So to answer the questions first, I just trimmed the grapefruits and stuck the entire blade into the grapefruits (I used two because one was not large enough for the bk-2) Left the BK-2 in there for about an hour. ...And here are pictures of my BK-11. I re-did it a few times (buffed it with a regular dishwashing sponge). The last attempt I am happy with, and I left it in there for around 2 or 3 hours.

Looks good. I used just plain vinegar and wrapped it in a paper towel when I did my Bk14 a couple weeks ago. I like bare steel over the black paint they come with. My BK2 will be next...
