The last 3/4" of the blade seems to be uneven, one side has a slight curve to the tip and the other is dead straight. The tip is off by about 1/32",and I doubt it'll affect performance, but would that bother you guys?

Other than that,THIS KNIFE IS A BULL,i can't wait to take it outside tomorrow and destroy the yard.I've been slicing everything around me,it looks like a war zone, shrapnel everywhere. It's a great knife as you all know,it just feels right.

That's not an uncommon observation. Sometimes the grind is off, other times it's the epoxy coating making it look like the grind is off. the grinding is done by hand so some will be like that. usually doesn't affect performance.

Jogger, if you could post some pics of it, if its an off grind, I'm sure Kabar will have something to say about it.

Would it bother me? No, but I tend to be on the users side of knife ownership. If it was a $300 custom or something, yeah, it would bother me.

Either way, that knife is a beast and my favorite. Good choice in your blade, it will server you for a lifetime.

It's not that bad,but not that good.

I wouldn't worry about that. Welcome to BF and the Becker forum. Another reason I wouldn't worry about it is because you'll be buying more/other Beckers soon

Congrats on the new BK2. By far my favorite knife.

strop it on some scotch bright to level out the coating...

or strip it and see what's really under there...

or give it strep and see what funky colors it turns :>

or perhaps just cut some strapping. there we go. a little bit of strap for a troublesome newcomer.

or i know, nickname it strupp, and have your way with it...

the bend on the end would bother me

regardless of whether it was a user or not.

the grind on mine is the same way uneven from left to right but that doesn't effect anything

Like said, just use that thing. I got mine with a custom kydex and micarta handles. The gind is not "perfect", the handles aren't perfect, but it's sharp, and a bad ass knife.
If you had a perfect knife, it might be hard to use. This way, you won't hesitate to scratch perfection.

Page 34 of the testicle owner's guide says "All men shall, at some point, own a 10/22 and a Becker BK2". Congratulations and welcome aboard.

Enjoy that beast.

Now that I've seen it, the question is, Does it bother you? Its your knife and you should be happy with your purchase, if not, it can be fixed.

It almost looks like the paint is thicker there, if it was me, I would strip it, and see whats under it. But that's me. I might be that the paint was thicker there than on the other side, and is creating the illusion of a bend. Maybe not.

I say use it and never look back.

I hadn't really scrutinized my new BK2 from that angle.
Mine is similar. Maybe not as pronounced, but I still see one side of the tip as the slightest bit straighter than the other.
I have to squint through one eye and hold the knife up to the light, however, to see it.
Thanks a lot. I just finished a crying jag, and now I've got to start drinking at 8 in the morning. :p :D
I think it's the paint in my case. I may just go stab some stuff and wear the coating down there.
Yeah, that's the ticket. A good stabbing will cure it.
Compared to my Camillus BK2's with all their dips and divots, this Ka-Bar version is a masterpiece of finish.
Seriously, if it were mine, I probably wouldn't have noticed it.
Moose is right though. If you're bothered by the tip, it can be fixed. Period.

Postscript: I don't own a 10/22. Can I substitute an SKS, AK clone, or AR-15?
I'm worried about my testicles too now. What a stressful morning.

Bladejogger, as you can see from my above post, my tendency is to mix tongue-in-cheek humor with serious business.

However, I just noticed your post count and join date, and I want to sincerely welcome you to Bladeforums.
We want you to stick around here in the Becker forum and enjoy the comradeship.
We also want you to be pleased with your purchase.

If I noticed it, it might bug me a little. If I bought it at a B&M store, I would likely exchange it - if I ordered online and had to go to post office and return ship, I probably would not.

After a few good weekends of smashing it into stuff, you probably won't notice anyway.
