A friend is sending me his modded BK-2 to use for a few weeks, because he knows it will take me a while to save for one. He told me to put it through its paces and dont worry about hurting the knife. He dosnt get a chance to get out much, but he has a lot of nice knives. (Because I cant work...I can usually get out whenever I feel good enough, but dont have a ton of knives).

My question is this; How should I "test" my buddies knife? I was thinking battoning it for a splitwood fire, carving a spoon, maybe carving a bow-drill set, and chopping smaller wood for a campfire. I dont know what else to do with it...Ideas? (remember this knife is borrowed)

Oh yeah, It is stripped, convexed, and has nice wood scales.

Baton it through stump until its stuck, then use it as a prybar to bust it out. Good fun

I know how much you boys like pictures, so here you go... I will post more as I continue to play with this beast of a knife.....I am really liking it so far!

That's a good one Josh, I am sure you will put it through the paces as you usually do. I am curious how it will match up to your revamped Tracker. Full report with pics please!

I went out today and did some batoning, splitting, and some shavings. I started with a piece of silver maple, but switched to osage.

Im loving this knife so far. Thanks for looking.

Looks like you're having fun playing with.... Uhh I mean testing that knife. He did a great job with everything: finish, sheath, scales etc.
