HI there, I was thinking of buying the BK-9 but somehow got sidetracked and looked at the BK-2, but for many reasons I like the kydex sheath and is the blade really 1/4 thick? I'm a fan of the BK's already have the Bk-11 but now thinking of the BK-2!

it is..

my first becker. long story short...wanted a 9, got a 2...in part because of the 1/4 in thickness.

needless to say, i'm VERY happy with it.

umm, oh yeah, my 9 ought to be here any day now!:D

amazon.com cheapest? Prove me wrong?

I'd support one of our favorite knife dealers like www.cutleryshoppe.com and www.newgraham.com ;)

The hard part about acquiring the BK-2 is availaibility right now. I got lucky and the Campanion and BK-9 were both in stock a couple weeks ago when I ordered mine. I love them. The BK-2 rides in the door of my truck when I'm not going to be outdoors with it. It's a huge value to get a tank of a knife that shaves hair out of the box with 1/4" thick blade stock and great blade steel all for under $60. What's not to like!

Nice, i'll be ordering one Bk-2 real soon! I hear nothing but great things about it, plus it has a function sheath to carry the knife plus other things possible like my leatherman attached to it?

Most places are still out of them. If you find one you might want to make sure it's the new version before you order it. The handles are skeletonized, and there's a pommel hammer/striker which the originals don't have. Nice improvements.

I was deciding recently between a BK9 and a BK7. I am getting the 9 . BUT... I have also been looking for around a stout 5" bush blade. After I use my 9 for a while, it may send me towards the BK2 ( when they hit the shelf!)
The more I see pics and reviews, the more I want one. ;) I've never seen or heard any BK2 fails either.

I think for my rare one night trips a Bk-2 would do me well, I currently carry a Glock 81 field knife, one of my issues with the Glock knife is that it is not flexible enough meaning the sheath is not able to move with my thigh if I'm crouching up or down rivers, rocks etc. So by the looks of the BK-2 the sheath seems to flow easier.

I just got an ESEE RC-5 and will be holding out for the new BK2, I hope it's soon, I don't know how long I can last before I get that urge to buy again. I need help!

got my 9 today! i didn't think the little knives came with it anymore, but there it was. the boy and i went out back and chopped some crap up.

:D

And, isn't it awesome ? Got mine yesterday also and I love it. Just be careful...it has a big swath and fingers don't grow back :D

Heck, gotta get a BK 2 now also. The virus continues.....:p

i gotta admit, it's pretty cool!

this has been a three month trek for me..it was between this and the ontario marine bowie.

hey, you will love the bk2.
