BK 2 sharpening advice needed

I can't seem to get a great edge on my bk2.

ESEE 4 is easier to sharpen for me.

My Moras are really sharp.

Kabar Cutlass machete - really sharp.

Axes -- super sharp.

What am I doing wrong with the bk2? I can't figure it out.

I use soft and hard Arkansas stones. The angle just feels too steep - but I marked the factory edge with a sharpie several times to make sure I was staying in the correct angle.

I read some of Old Jimbos advice and it did not help.

The knife was okay-ish sharp out of the box - but not sharp enough.

Anyways -- I like to manually sharpen without expensive jigs. Sometimes I use sandpaper on a sheet of glass. But mostly the stones and a good stropping with green paste. I tried the mousepad and sandpaper on another knife, but did not like the convex edge all that much.

Any tricks or advice to help me sharpen a bk-2.

Use some wet/dry paper on the glass and thin the edge bevel. It might be a bit too obtuse to be a good cutter, even if it is very sharp.

I used my WEPS and decreased the angle a little and its VERY sharp and shiney and still held really well. Somewhere I have a pic of my bk2 b4 I beat the crap outa it.
