Bk-2 Sheath question

I have been lusting after a BK-2 for awhile now. Just sold a Ontario RAT 7 to free up the funds. The one thing that I would like to know is if anyone has done any mods to the Sheath. The one feature I would love to see is to have the carry loop as a Quick attach usign a Snap and velcro.

Cold Steel Sheaths have this feature and I always like it. The loop on the Beckers seems pretty large, you need to unbuckle your belt to attach it and it can slide around.

And what is the plastic slider on the end of the loop used for.
 
The snap and Velcro would be nice, I guess. If you're good with a needle and thread and have access to materials( webbing , buckles, Etc.) the sky is the limit.

I painted mine green and attached a gear pouch to it.

The plastic slider is for a drop leg extension.
