Looks good!

hmm... so that would be opposed to a standard convexed edge with a full flat grind and convex edge bevel?

never done a full convex grind because my tools aren't quite up to it.

wouldn't you have to remove a good bit of edge steel to re-profile the entire blade to a convex?

It depends entirely on how thin it is behind the edge. In a zero scandi grind you almost always have a lot of steel to remove to make it flat to the edge. The curve on a convex grind is a little more forgiving and if the curve joins the pre-existing flat grind somewhere as it approaches the spine or the curve becomes much shallower up there that's OK IMO.

gine did an impressive job.

that is PRETTY as all hell!

I have been thinking about trying the convex...been pricing belt sanders for micarta and woodworking projects...might as well have another use for it!

i have gotten good enough with my worksharp that i am considering getting a nice cheap 1x30 grinder for sharpening... the WSKTS makes my knives sharper than anything i've ever managed before and i'd like to try my hand at putting grinds on some blanks

Nice one! I recently got a HF 1X30. Can you tell me what your belt/grit progression was? I still need to order belts for mine:)

I think I used 120 grit, then after most of the material was removed I went straight to my leather belt with 0.5 micron paste...Thats's why it still
has a rough but shiny finish.......shaving sharp.
