If I was still in the CORPS I would have the BK 2 on my belt. I would think this would be the perfect knife for the devil dogs. If I had to us a knife in hand to hand my BK 9 would be my first choice but not every commander would look upon us carrying a 9 inch blade to well. I will have to give the command at my base credit they, did go to the EK Knife company and had a company purchase of knives from them. Being a little older and wiser the BK 2 would be a better choice. We recognized the K Bar was not the best. Don't get me wrong I am a Marine, once a Marine always a Marine, but the Becker is better. The Knife is used more for field task than fighting.
