As title says, about to order a sheath I think the spine might be an easier draw for knife of that size( hanging off belt and dangler). Would like to buy just once. Opinions/experience are welcome.

Never met a taco sheath I liked.... they just seem to have so much excess material and are so much larger than they need to be... but, that's just my opinion.... and I'm usually in the minority, I see a lot more tacos for sale than I do other styles so they must sell to someone.

/shrug

I don't like em....ESPECIALLY on a blade that big which will have even more excess materials due to the sheer size of the starting need for coverage...

I think my favorite sheath I've ever seen for the bigger knives like the BK20 was a Kydex cover attached to a leather backer....for medium and smaller knives I like the kydex insert in a more traditional leather sheath.

We make them open back, pancake, and taco style. The BK20 is wider near the tip, so we use spacers on the tacos and pancakes, to minimize drag.
I like tacos to wear, pancakes for a pack, and the open back for faster draw.

So you would recommend an open back?
