Ok so I guess I just took off my blinders today for some reason and discovered the BK-22. Call me crazy but it looks the same and has the specs as a BK-2, so whats the Point? I did not know the 22 existed till today.

If I understand correctly it is the same knife. The difference is the sheath. It comes with a polyester sheath instead of the hard, kydex-type sheath. But same steel, same tank of a knife!

Yup, exactly. The knife itself is the same, only the sheath is different. BK2 has a hard fiberglass re-enforced nylon sheath and the 22 had a soft nylon sheath with plastic liner like the other knives come with with the molle backing and a pouch on the front.

Hey thanks for the info. I currently own a BK2 & BK9, both are a beast of a knife. For some reason I had just missed the BK22..

The 22 just came out last year. It didn't get much coverage since it's not a new knife.

Also, if you want just the new sheath instead of the one that comes with the BK2, you can search for the BK22S. The BK10 uses the same sheath.

Yes and no. The thumb snaps on my BK10 sheath won't fit around the handle of my BK2 because the BK2 is thicker. Other than that the sheaths are identical. I ordered my BK10 the day they came out though so maybe they make one sheath to fit both now.
