BK-23 Skeleton

I recently ordered a Becker BK-23 skeleton and came looking for comments on it. I couldnt find many…and the ones I did were few in number and buried in other threads.

So if you own a Bk-23, what are your experiences with it and thoughts?

a small knife with 5cr15 steel. i would say ok for the price. also a good bob knife for your backup bag.

Does anybody know of a source for handle scales for the Skeleton?

It arrived today and the handle is way too small as is. I think some handle scales would help tremendously.

you could make some or even a paracord wrap.

The cord wrap “bulked” it out some and its making a difference. A set of micarta scales would be even better. I may order a set of blanks and try to figure out a method for attachment. (I cant use epoxy, Im allergic.)

Now Im sharpening it properly. The factory edge was horrendous. So far 20 passes on each side with a coarse diamond stone.

Ill let tou know how it goea and link a pic or two.

Is there any knife left after 20 passes per side on a coarse diamond stone...?
Just how dull was it

It wouldnt even catch the edge of paper to tear it!
Its scarey sharp now after fine, ceramic and strop.
I also wrapped the handle with paracord. Next is to add a lanyard out of tactical cord.
