had the flu last weekend and into yesterday. raging fever. body aches. no fun. literally out of my mind!


then this happened! KaBar heard my pain, and also lack of a BK-29 Moses Bowie apparently and remedied the situation :D

so, not to look a chance for testing time for granted, this is going to become a dirty birdy shortly. first, lose the cough, and hopefully this weekend, some lumbering fun. there's still snow on the ground if you can believe it.

oh, yeah, also the BK-5 which we all know and love... yup. the snake charmer! love it. have a couple. favorite knife. a precision steak scalpel that is. oh, and some handles. who knew? two colors even!

So there I was, minding my own business when, all of a sudden, I read thread about the BK29.
Next thing you know, a brown truck shows up at my office. Everything is a blur I tell you ... have no idea how this just seemed to have happened.

Glad you're over the flu; use theose knives in good health.
 
Hey Bladite, I certainly hope you get to feeling better so you can swing that big 29. I am new to the forum but not new to Beckers. I thought that I had a problem with my fetish untill I found the Beckerheads. I feel normal here Thanks. I just opened my big box of toys that the brown truck dropped off. BK29 in my hand as I type.
 
interesting about the sheaths, they have velco on the tabs to keep them open, and that's make a big difference.

despite being made in a foreign land, the quality is pretty evident. a lot of people complain they are not very good, but as always, i have to wonder what you are all comparing too for the same price point ;)

Nice observation on the sheath, I was so focused on admiring the blade I didn't even notice the sheath. Other then the two tone color. I've always thought the sheaths were built well.
 
Sheath included for both BK29 and BK5? I ordered a set as well, coming tomorrow.....First Becker trio for me.
 
Snody has a plastic neck sheath with a interesting and quite doable release, All three knives are just like you bought them individualy just packed in one big box that can only be opened with a Remora.
 
My wife asked me last night "did you spend $200 on knives" yes I did. She didn't ask a follow up question and I didn't volunteer. Little does she know these three make 22 backers in all! What am I doing? I can't use them all.
 
the snody sheath is clever -- very positive retention, but easy to pull once you get used to the trick.
 
Are they shipping rough coated, laser etched 5s? That could be what it takes to get me in on this one.

As far as I know they're smooth finish. Mine and everyone else who's posted pictures has been this way. Sorry bud.

There's no such thing as too many, Once you learn to launder money from yourself she'll never even know about it enough to ask . Besides the Becker's look about the same. This works for guns also.

Plenty of fun in that picture! And it really doesn't bother me to go out of my mind, it actually reduces the hassle of seeking street drugs. :)
 
I am really digging the Snakecharmer. Pics of mine once my tiny white woman gets to feeling better. I was super surprised. Thanks Ka-Bar!
 
I feel like I should buy this for no other reason than to encourage Kabar to keep doing small runs of knives that they think have limited sales volume. This has the potential to bring some great ideas to market and I would like to see it continue.
 
I agree BFK, really like the limited editions. They do allow you to try some knives at a good price that you might not try otherwise "Snakecharmer".

I'm way past laundering my own money; I've been known to ask my wife to take a Priority Mail box to the post office for a "trade" even though the outbound is a few rocks going to a friend/co-conspirator to create a cover story for yet another inbound! :D:eek::rolleyes:
