I just received my Becker BK5 in the mail yesterday. I have to say I have a complaint.
I enjoy sharpening knives. There is something about the sound of high carbon steel and diamond dust being stroked together that soothes my soul. Usually when I get a new knife I have the opportunity to spend some time putting a hair shaving edge on it. This knife was so sharp that I was denied this one of life’s simple pleasures. I am sure the fine people at Becker Knife and Tool also enjoy this simple past time as do I. But they probably get to do this several times a day. Kind of selfish of them if you ask me. The least they could do is leave this one simple pleasure for poor knife buyers like myself who only get to do this occasionally. So now I have to take the time to go out and find some way to dull the edge on this knife so I can put the edge back on it.
Thank You Becker knife and Tool;
Sincerely; Poor Me.
Sorry BK5. Wishfull thinking crept into my mind as I was writing this thread. That should cause some confusion.
