BK 5 slick finish

Will Jasco remove the slick black finish on a BK 5 ?

Paint stripper will remove the coating. I have never used Jasco but I'm guessing they all work. I used Klean strip last time.

As for the smooth finish on the BK5, it is certainly not as grabby as the textured finish on the other Beckers. I can see stripping a 5 for the aesthetic benefits but I have found that the factory smooth finish functions almost as well as a stripped blade. That said, a stripped and polished BK5 sure is easy on the eyes.:thumbup:

Thanks to all for the replies. I agree the smooth finish may well be fine. I will be stripping the 15 and a couple of Esse knives I have.
