I snapped up the BK-7 and BK-9 from Oregon'faler last week on the exchange. I had him ship them to my work because I hate the idea of Beckers sitting alone on my porch all day.
Well...I must have forgot to tell him my name when I gave him my shipping address.
Yesterday the package arrived at the glass plant. With just the address and no name.
So our receptionist,(who is fairly new by the way) figured she should open it.
To her surprise there were two large boxes with Ka-bar USMC's plastered on them.
Large blades are the last thing she usually opens from the mailbox. She was shocked to say the least.
She ran all around the office trying to figure out who the hell the knives belonged to.
Some fellow employees pointed her to my office.(They know I'm a Beckerhead after seeing my Muskox last week).
I'd been working on the glass furnace all morning, so when I got back to the office around noon, I had a nice surprise waiting for me. The BK-7 and BK-9, Hell Yeah!!
I saw the box was open and thought WTF? Then a few of my buddies filled me in on what happened and we all had a good laugh.
I would have loved to see the receptionists eyes pop out of her head when she pulled those Beckers out of the box.

The 7 feels quick and almost slicey. A bit bigger than I thought it would be but also a bit lighter. This will be a great knife for the pack.

The 9 is very, very badass. Everything I thought it would be. This will be a great knife for.......just about anything I can think of!!

User pics and mods in the near future I'm sure.

That was indeed a Big Box of Awesome! The 7 is growing on me....I just think I would have to trim down the finger guard/wattle on it....the same guard looks god on the 9, but the 7's shorter blade height kinda throws off the scale (to my eyes anyways). I might even leave the 'ramp on the 7 LOL I like the ramp's look on the 10 and 7.

So far the ramps feel really good on both blades...We'll see what happens after I use them a while though. I'm really liking both of these knives.

We need an "Exchange Watchdog Thread". I just don't regulary go in there, because I never see Beckers, but they do show up.

Yeah, I'd been on there for a few weeks. Very few Beckers indeed. When I saw Oregon's knives up for sale I hopped on it.
A watchdog thread would be a good idea.
