I am looking for ideas for making a leather sheath for my BK-7. I don't like the cheap nylon sheath it came with. Any photos would be greatly appreciated.

This thread would be boring without a picture so here is my BK-7 looking sad without a leather sheath.:D

Cool 7. What are the handle scales made out of? Did you do them? What about the finish on your knife?

Thank you.

The scales are layered brown and tan burlap mycarta over white G10 over burgundy linen micarta. I layed up the mycarta myself, bonded the 3 materials together, and did all the shaping. They're not perfect, but they're comfy. It was a big job.

After stripping, the finish was a several hours soak in a hot solution of: cider vinegar, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, yellow mustard, dijon mustard, wing sauce and tapatio. All it really did was darken it up. The character lines are from slicing citrus and letting it sit, and from pruning the orange tree a few times.

Those are pretty sweet looking. I like the brown one the best. However they are a little bulky for my tastes. The brown sheath minus the pouch thing would be perfect. Thanks for sharing those.

Here's mine from 710 Customs. It's leather over a kydex liner. Looks classy, is super thin and has great retention thanks to the kydex, and its light too

Thanks guys. I am looking to make one not buy. I have been making holster for a some time, just never sheaths.

Sagewood Gear also makes some killer leather for the 7. Google him. I think skystorm has the most designs and custom offerings avail. All the work posted so far looks top notch. I love that 710 sheath. Missed that pic the first time around.
