BK-7 Problem...Please Help

Just got a BK-7 for a co-worker and he took it out of the box and wiped the grease off the blade and put it in it's sheath. He noticed the blade stuck out the bottom of the sheath beyond the protection of the hard liner. That was at 10 this morning. I am off work from an accident and he jsut phoned to say that the blade cut through the bottom of the sheath. I did not really get a good look other than the knife which I checked over before giving it to him. Are all the BK-7 sheaths like this??? Not quite sure what to do. If all the sheaths are like this then what gives with that design??? Please Help thanks and Take Care!!!
 
It should not be like that. I would contact Camillus. Maybe you got a BK-10 sheath with you BK-7.

I would post your issue to the Camillus Forum here under Makers and Manufacturers. If this was their mistake, I'm sure they'll make things right for you.

Hey Guys....

The BK 7 will not even come close to fitting into the Crewman sheath...

The kydex liners are just a tubular slot glued into the cordura carrier...

It's very possible the kydex liner was however made slightly too short...

I have about 8-10 of these sheaths in the shop,,its is possible with this design..
some of the older Busse sheaths of this type actually had the kydex folded over at the end to protect from this...

The only other alternative is a custom Concealex sheath for the BK7..:)

Cammillus will take care of you for sure...

They have great service, my brother put my BK7 in the sheat slightly uff center, it sliced the kydex insert 2 inches deep, I asked about buying a new sheath, 3 days later got a new one free in the mail.

Nice to see a company that cares about it's customers so much!

Yup, sounds like you got a BK10 sheath with your BK7. Unfortunately, they are basically the same, except the BK10 is nearly 2 inches shorter. Our screw up for getting the wrong sheath in the box. Give the ladies in customer service a call @ 800-344-0456 and they will get you a new sheath out ASAP.
