I just received this knife and I am in agreement that this knife is probably the best bang for your buck for a combat/utility knife I have seen.

My question:
It looks like Ethan purposely thined out the false edge enough so folks can sharpen it. Has anyone done this? I haven't yet but am thinking of doing it. I mean, how can I screw it up on a $50 knife? :)

Will & Ethan; During R&D have you guys sharpened the false edge? How did it work out? Any comments on this. I assume the heat treatment would tolerate this section of the knife being sharp.

Thanks and well done gents!

Without power equipment, you can hand profile with a diamond until you get a rough bevel and then use a sharpmaker type system to "true it up" It wont look entirely pretty, but it will work.
