I just aquired a Becker BK-9 desert tan model in a trade. I am absolutely amazed with this knife. First of all I have a few camillus knives, BK-7 ,CQB-1 ect. Now I got my BK-7 last summer and from what I read that was when Camillus was having lost of big problems and lets just say I wasn't super impressed with that knife. The grind was totally off. About 10 on one side and 30 on the other. And the blade seemed thin. It would ''twing'' when I flicked it with my finger. and I think I could almost bend it. And the sheath was horrendeous. It rattled and the kydex just came out with the blade. The same thing happened when I bought my second CQB-1. The serrateds where all ground different and it was way thinner. And the kydex sheath didn't fit right. Now the Desert tan BK-9 I just got is insanely AWESOME. the grind is perfect. Perfect F&F. And the sheath seems almost custom made for it. It's by far the sharpest ''big'' knife I've ever handled out of the box. It shaves hair off my arm free standing. And if I accidently hit my skin it will take a layer off. It's just a beautiful knife. and I loved how it performed in those destruction vids that creepy dude made. I like it as much if not more than my RD-9. If they still made them I'd consider paying in the $150 range if they where like this one. I guess this knife is an example of what a great American knife company Camillus used to be. And they sold online for $65-$75!!!! Too bad about Camillus. The WHOLE thing is a true shame:( :barf: :grumpy:

i also agree about the Becker line. i have the BK7, and it's great. sorry to hear about the bad experience with yours, killerskill

Well the experience wasn't bad, well it was but I knew it had something to do with the company going down hill. I know this tan BK-9 is older, and my first CQB-1 154CM is one of my favorite knives of all time. Just the ones I bought last summer and fall toward the end weren't up to par. But when they where good they where great.
