chopping bamboo always seems so .. messy :) chainsaw, flush to the ground. nice and safe, no punji stakes for later.

Is that bamboo? That looks like Japanese Knotweed.... Either way it doesn't stand a chance against the Beckah....

japanese knotweed tends to be purplish. that's very green, woody, splintery, and scope out the leaves, very different.

course, in the east coast, it's soon to be knotweed season. you can eat it while still pencil sized.

If your chopping bamboo I have heard that it can sometimes shatter on impact with the internal pressure and send slivers/shards. Eye protection was recommended.
Anyone around here know if thats true or not?

I don't think I've ever seen bamboo "shatter"? Hey, while your out there, tell me if there are any good bamboo torture spots, my brother just turned 13 and thinks he's big enough to push me around.

ive cut alot of it if the knife or tool is sharp helps it will split come times. and murph not only do i have traps but i bought a head lamp to use this time(does epilipse run in your family)

Epilepsy, aren't those mints? Nope, but if I'm on the ground shaking and jittery throw my woman on top or just hit me with the taser.
