Ok so after 5 days of having fun i decided to show the king to local knife guru, to try and keep it short he went to a 4 year school for knife sharpening...to explain...during communism we had reform of education and had "PLANED EDUCATION" with small classes of highly specialized workers on which to base factory production...."knife sharpener" was excellent considering there were "assistants to the stoker", "mounter of LEFT FRONT wheel on a vw beatle 1300" and such...
This is how i made it dull :)
Old Grape vines make the best BBQ wood but are among toughest

I asked my man if he could strip and polish the whole knife ...well he has 3 machines ...just for that....so he can do anything but as a professional he advised to leave the coating since it is a working knife and coating has purpose on such steel...i really like stripped blades i seen on this forum and does it some how deceese life expectancy and structural strength of a knife? Because i like the looks but would never sacrifice durability for looks.
Thank you guys,

Wow, very nice work on that blade! That 9 looks SHARP. As to your concerns about stripping the blade, go for it. Makes is smoother to the touch, and a lot more slice-ier. It doesn't effect durability at all, just keep 'er dry and add a couple drops of mineral oil is all you need for a healthy blade. Strip the blade, force a patina, or let one naturally occur. She'll be good to go. All my blades are stripped and none of them has had a rust issue. Even my Okapi. Do your part, and you'll be passing that 9 down to your kids and grandkids.
