I went on a solo hike up in the mountains on a rainy day. I decided to try to make a fire in the damp rainy conditions to test myself a bit. Well the BK 9 was essential to baton through the dead maple trees and get to the dry core. That knife is neither too big or too small it's just perfect for outdoors activities.
Here is a small vid for those interested !
Cheers

PS the BK9 is truly the king !

Very cool man. Nothing like getting out and using the blades, rain or shine. The niner is a great knife. Gotta love the Emberlit too.

Thanks guys
Indeed I really like that embetlit. It surprising how it optimizes wood consumption and gets water boilingvwith just a bunch of twigs
I highly recommend it

Onya Rodg! Most people wouldn't have any issue starting a fire with dry materials. It's a true test of skill doing in the wet though. Kudos bro.. Oh yeah, by the way, you've just cost me money by watching that. I've now got to buy an Emberlit and a Laplander :D Thanks Rodg! :D

Nice video! I really enjoy videos like these. The 9 is awesome. What flavor Ramen???

And great looking shelter!

I think it was the chicken ramen :D
Easy to carry and lifts the spirit in a damp rainy day !

Beekay you will love the esbit. I hear they jave a titanium version you may want to look at.
The laplander and BK 9 realy work well together

Yes, there's a titanium version and I highly recommend it. It's actually cheaper to buy it first, rather than buying the stainless THEN the titanium like I did. As they say, "buy once, cry once." ;)

Thanks for the video Revolver. On days when I'm stuck on the couch fighting a cold, it's great to see someone enjoying the fresh air, cooking over wood, and logging some time with their BK9.

Dammit man. This makes me miss the NC forests so bad. So much more enjoyable than where I live now.

I totally agree with the bk9 being the perfect size. Its my favorite blade of all time, hands down.
