I just ordered a BK-21 and would like to know the easiest and best way to remove the black finish from the blade. Glass beading it?
I want to do a tiger stripe.
 
I typically use angel paint stripper. Works great....just don’t get it on your skin!
 
I've had the most consistent strips using this stuff. Wait 30 minutes and it all comes off like fruit peel!

Thanks for all the helpful info. Seems like a real easy process.
Ordered some nice wood scales from Tommy and a sheath from Diez.
Now the wait for everything to arrive.
 
just click return and buy some other knife.

don't mess with the coating :D
 
I got my BK21 yesterday and it’s definitely a lot of Knife.
I modified the Diez sheath by removing the leather strap to hold the knife and the leather dangler. IMO it really doesn’t need either, the sheath alone hods the Knife tight.
For now I’m leaving the finish alone. I hade a set of olive mirca scales I put on it. I think it looks better on this style with them then the Tommy wood, plus my sheath is olive drab.
So since I have an extra set of scales I went ahead and ordered a BK2, It was between The bk2 & a bk10. Went with the bk2 because I thought the drop point looked better on this style and size knife.
I’m new to this BK addiction so I did a search on all they’re knives and I really liked the looks of the BK5. So I did a search to see if I could find one. Was able to find one place that had one in stock, I’m sure I over paid at $106.55 (shipping & tax). But it really caught my eye.

The only way I know how to post pics on my iPad.
If someone wants to copy it and post it permanently go for it.
Because I don’t leave the image long on Imgur because of all the comments people leave and in order for members to see it I have to make it public.

That way you dont have to deal with the comments and other crap.

I dont think you over paid too much on the 5. It is well worth it. The BK2 was my first. It is a beast. Enjoy.
 
Yep I have no idea how to make BBCode on phones or tablets, maybe you have to log into IMGUR on safari or whatever browser you use and not the app.
