I just got my BK2, what a brute. It's what I will carry when fishing to keep me alive if I twist an ankle and can't walk out. So my question is (I guess to Allen) when can I get a BK9 with the same style sheath as the BK2 came with. I don't know if it would be better than the 2 as a survival knife but with the right sheath(I love the BK2 sheath) I would buy one to find out.
Cheers,
Bob

make a new one... that's actually what I was intending to do this evening until I got sidetracked tying a turkshead on a machete handle.

use your BK2 to cut a section of railroad rail and fashion your own sheath :)

chesnut ridge knife shop has premade kydex for the bk-2,7,9

Didn't see one for the 9 but why would I want to pay $36 for a sheath plus as a south paw they don't look to be reversible as the BK2 sheath is- AND IT COMES WITH THE KNIFE!!

I hope it's not too off topic, but my BK-2s arrived yesterday and I would love the option of getting one with a BK-7 style sheath.
Sort of a 180 if you will...

thank you, but again, on the same lines as rbdeans reply.
i know wonderful sheaths are out there, but why pay an additional $30 - $50 for a sheath when the knife AND sheath are only $65. It would be a nice option for a BK-2, 7, or 9 buyer to have the choice of Kydex or Cordura at KA-BAR prices.
