Howdy I'm new here I was wondering about a knife that has come into my possesion it is a BK&T Brute there is no black finish on the blade and it came with a leather sheath it says it was made in Effingham Illinois U.S.A.

any help would be great I traded a BBgun for it I hope it was a good trade I'm thinking it was personaly

Well, depending on the value of the BB gun, that was a good trade. That's a very desirable knife. No longer in production.

Congrats, you have a early Becker Brute, made by Blackjack knives. This was before KA-BAR took-over from Camillus, which had gone bankrupt.

You have a rare knife there. Don't know the value, but it is considered very desirable by collectors of Beckers and Blackjack knives.

it is a clean no dings in the knife blade , and the leather sheath is nice no scratches on it
