I'm going to buy a survival/camp/utility knife, I know it will be BK&T, but still don't know which - one C/U7 or Companion. Maybe someone know what are cutting/slicing abilities of them.

As far as cutting/slicing ability, I think that they're pretty close to equal. I think that any one of the BK&T line would be great for the purpose you want the knife for. If you're looking for a terrific deal, then the C/U 7 is the best deal of the bunch. I'd be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere. My personal opinion is that the Campanion is a little too thick (I think that it's actually a little thicker than the C/U 7 despite being over two inches shorter) and that if it was of thinner stock it would be a lot better. If you're looking to chop I would probably go with one of the longer blades. The other minor difference that has been mentioned before is that the guard of the Campanion is a little smaller than that of the C/U 7. I recently bought the C/U 7--just couldn't pass up a deal that good.

That of course would be Will's response! (Sorry Will!);) :p ;)
I have all of them except the tac tool and would have to say that the 7 is hard to beat all around, especially with the pouch on the sheath filled with a multi-tool! For a "pure" camp knife my vote goes to the Fisk magnum camp . . . for a pure chopper, my vote goes to the PM or the Brute. (Depending on what you are chopping)
"BUT" if you could only have one Becker . . . perish the thought:eek:  :barf: . . . my vote would be for the c/u 7!:D :D

All Yours opinions helped me to make up my mind. I decided to buy C/U7. I hope it will "fulfil its duty". :D The first test of this knife will be three week trek in the mountains in June or July.

Thanks Everyone.:)
