I have never been seriously interested in this design ,nothing wrong with it but never jumped out to me and said buy me ....Until I seen a BK3 Tac-tool PE version Today(online not in person). Was it factory ? it was painted black which makes me think it was Camillus ? and the grind from tip to handle looked clean and uniformed....so I do not think it was modded.I emailed the Guy/Gal to try and get more info from them on the PE BK3

The standard BK3 is all I've seen. What features does a "PE" version have that differ from the standard model?

I Googled PE Tac-Tool and did not come up with anything, Where did you find that?

Tom

the BK3 is identical to the picture norcal provided except no serration, the whole blade is plain edge....
Here is the response I received from the owner;
Hi, yes it is a rare one, it also has a double tang stamp, either a prototype or reject. It's not for sale at this time, but should I decide to sell, I'll let you know first. Thanks for the interest...Michael

Thanks for the pictures Tony. I didn't realize that the larger Beckers had material removed under the handles. Are they Camillus or current Ka-Bar versions?

your welcome,the picture is not mine so I do not know the manufacture of those in picture ? maybe someone could help answer this ?

this is kinda late, but the kabars also have the cutouts as well as hollow handle scales. some people base a shtf kit in the handles.
