  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Bk1

Well since they are discontinued and a Kabar model wont be released until next year, they are worth whatever your willing to pay. There are a few on epray now and again, but I feel those prices will drop once Kabar offers an american made brute come january if I remember correctly...

To clarify, I saw one for sale recently and was looking for some advice on what to pay. I recently acquired my first Becker which is a BK2 and am now looking to expand my collection. Anyways, 399 for a camillus brute seems a lot and wanted a second opinion?

I wouldn't pay 400, but they are cool, and if you want one, who is to stop you? I would hold out for a better price, but NIB is pretty cool for the BK1, cause it is such a great knife, that they mostly got used IMO.

Yeh I would love to have a brute. But for that price it would end up as a safe queen. Hold out for the karat versions coming soon, im going to guess the price point will be about a 1/4 of that

That seems waaay too high to me. I recently picked up a Becker Patrol machete which is tuffer to find the the Brute and I would sell it waaaaay cheaper then that ;)

strictly speaking, one is not allowed to ask pricing questions. strictly speaking :)

we also don't encourage it. it leads to speculation, people attempting to make bargains, and if one is not gold, it's ... really scary.

the right price is $1 or $999. depends on you. me? i'm a cheap ass ;> i don't think they're worth the money people are asking, so it goes.

soon, you can just buy one, probably under $100, NIB from KaBar. so... there.

Sorry bladite and thanks to all for the responses. Looking forward to January. On a side note, does anyone know if the ka bar/cutco visitors center in Olean sells knives or is it more like a museum.

yes, January. 2015 :)

there is absolutely no forward guessing date on this. we don't know. not 2012. not 2013. nothing. when they tell us, you shall know :)

but someday...

Patience, there is always a brute popping up there usually in the 2-250 bracket. 4 is just too much, they are not that uncommon. Some of the others are more uncommon. Mostly just depends on how baaaaaaaaaaaaaad you want it.
