bk10 from a bk2?

although I am not new to knives, I am however new to the bk 10 craze. I found not been able to find a new one, so I was wondering if anyone ever tried to make a bk10 from a bk2? any photos or suggestions would help loads.

The 10 is coming. Its a great general purpose knife. The Ritter BK12 is about the same if you dont want to wait.
 
so they are re-releasing the 10? that's great news! any idea when. I'm chomping at the bit. I've been obsessed with the 10 since I found it online. Thanks for the heads up guys, there seems to be a lot of great people on this site and especially this forum.
 
Im not sure when. I think they said Jan but last year when we were waiting on the tweeners Jan turned into April.
 
it's an unimaginable amount of work to turn 1/4" hardened steel into 3/16" hardened steel.
I'd wait. I think the 10 is a smidge longer anyway, and don't think it would fit within the 2 profile (but I don't have one, so that's speculation).

To be released at SHOT Show in January, I'd definitely wait.
 
Keep checking the BK&T forum. When it is released, you will see it here. And yes, it is totally worth the wait.
 
There's some folks around who have some for sale , just gotta look close. They are excellent knives, I am looking forward to one of the new ones.
 
I'm not sure you can make a 10 out of a 2, but it's real simple to mod a 10 into a 2Lite.

I'm not sure about a 2 but I know it can be done starting with a 7. :D

I appreciate all the responses and I probably will end up just picking up another 2 until the new 10s come out, but let me rephrase that post. Is it possible to put the same type of point profile on a bk2 like the one on a bk10. minus the thumb ramp, because I can do my own jimping and choils. any photos of this being done or even attempted would-be awesome.
 
I read in the Ask Toooj thread that the BK10 will be officially announced at SHOT 2013 and actually hit shelves up to a year after but probably sooner than that.

I saw a BK9 made into a 10. looked pretty cool. The blade on the 9 is wider (edge to spine) than the 7 or 10 and it vaguely reminded me of a warthog.
 
so, i think it's fair to say that they should announce the release at SHOT show. that doesn't mean you'll be able to buy it soon though.

hopefully, shortly after though
