Hey all!
Been busy with the BK10 I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Stripped the coating... Epoxied some slabs of cherry onto it and went to town. And, I love the results (warning, my photography skills are HORRIBLE):
The photo really doesn't do it justice. The cherry finished to a beautiful natural and is such a great hardwood for having a broad grain. Only gripes I have are a small (1/32 or so) epoxied gap, which runs about 1/2", between on one slab and the butt. Other than that, the fit was tight. It was a great blade to work on and I forgot how much I enjoy rehandling...
It now needs some leather pants. I love the stock sheath, but it doesn't fit the look.
