BK10 questions

I just posted in the wanted section that I am looking to purchase a BK10 (wink wink) but wondered if anyone maybe had an idea of any dealers that might still have a few? or is the best/only way to get one through a private party?

Pictures of your BK10 would be nice too, you know just to keep my want alive
 
I wanted a BK10 for quite a while too... I didn't want to pay $200 for one though...

I ended up getting a BK12... and I no longer want a BK10 (Well... I do... at regular price... but not at the current prices)

It's about the same size, just has a steep drop point instead of the clip point... Works very well though.
 
I've wanted a 10 for a while too, just not gotta pay the price some they're going for at the moment. As Malice said, you can buy a 12 to substitite it or do what I did and get a BK-7 and mod it into a 10 if you want...Well mine is more of a short BK-9 at about 6" but simmilar thing. Best bet is the BF Exchange...
 
is the 10 thicker than the 7 or 9? I was under the impression it was a mix between a 2 and a 9...is this not accurate? Ideally I would like a thicker shorter 9 but longer than the 2

just saw in the database that it is significantly thinner...closer to the 14 thickness....kinda defeats the purpose for me. what makes people love this knife so much over the 7?

Get a .210" Cami era BK-9 and grind it down, problem solved :D.

Nope, as far as I know its 3/16ths same as the 7 and 9. Personally for me the 10 is one of my favourites, looks cool and I'm sure performs very well. Never used or even seen one in person and already I really like it...Obviously if I ever get my hands on one and use it my opinion might change drastically but eh... I kinda like the fact that its thinner than the 2 since for me the 2 is just to bulky and I will probably get rid of my 2s at some point.
 
Keep an eye out on the exchange. I sold mine about a month ago at the Beckerhead price (which was substantially cheaper than what most go for these days). During that time there were three others for sale there as well.

And it is as thick as the BK7 or BK9.
 
I like the 10 over the 2. It's lighter and more nimble

I also picked mine up in the exchange. It was a user which is what I was looking for so I would have no regrets or problems deciding to get it dirty. Mine has an extra bonus. It was owned and Cliched by Clich himself. This knife gets extremely sharp!

Any reason K-Bar didn't continue the BK-10? Seems like a foundational knife for the series.

I read one of Tooj's posts a time ago where he said Ka Bar is all ready to go with it but I suspect they aren't in any hurry based on sales of the special edition they had last year, which weren't all that great.
 
If Ka-Bar don't come out with a production BK10 here soon I might end up chopping down a BK7.
