Looking for something a little bigger than my Esee 4 SS to pack around in the woods. The 5 seems like the natural choice, but I have always wanted a Becker and the BK10 is similar in size and quite a bit cheaper.

What are your guys' experiences with the 2?

BK2 is more like the ESEE 5
BK10 is a bit thinner and Is my preferred choice of these 3 knives.

I also went with the BK10. Lighter and more nimble.

BUT ... if you're willing to pay for an ESEE5 you might consider the ESEE6 or ...

I'm beginning to like mine better than my BK10.

The BK2 is a beast and is my choice here. It never stays home when I venture to the woods. Some people don't like the thicker blade, but I cannot find fault with it on any level....so far.

Look, I'm a die hard Beckerhead which means I'm partially biased. I love all the Beckers, but to be completely honest, I have held off buying the 10 because....as long as I have the 2, the 10 is just a safe queen. It would never get used, and I really like to use everything I buy.

I can't recommend the ESSE because I have very little experience with it.

This But the other way around, for me as long as I have the 10 I don't need the 2.
