Every time I venture here, I end up reading and learning how to modify something that is fine as is. I know its been done before but here is my bk11 with some jimping, and a pouch attached to the sheath. Scales are in progress..Just got out the Klean Strip and gonna get some gun blu later and get to etching. Yes "search" is my friend and I enjoy reading all of the posts. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing the knowledge and making my head bigger ;)

Damn, jimping looks very clean and well done. Good job! I like the pouch too, issue?

dang...that jimping looks as good or better then the factory on my 16!!! great workmanship!

*sigh* now I have to try to follow that...I have a feeling my jimp-job will look like crap compared to yours LOL

Dremel? Hand File? details man details! :)

Thanks for the nice comments!

Murphnuge : the pouch is an Eagle Industries Marsoc frag pouch in 1000 denier. Left over from an adventure (Darfur) I once went on. I left the attach straps on so as to also be able to still use it on a vest or fit a 3" belt..that the Kabar clip won't fit. If ya need one, they can also be found on a popular auction site for about $5

Thrillbilly : yes I used my thousand year old Dremel and a thick cutoff wheel. According to my wife I'm ANAL (she said to make sure I capitalize that word lol)..so I blue taped the blade and measured where the jimping cuts should go..then re- measured again how far down each cut should be. I asked my wife five times how it looked and she said fine, so i went over each cut one more time until she unplugged my Dremel..ok..I admit that I am ANAL.

Once again, thanks for the comments and for being a great group!

Great job being ANAL, it worked out well!

I did my BK14 freehand, and it's not that nice. Trust me...function over form, or it looks like a monkey did it.

Awesome work man. Very well done on the jimping. Looks professional. Hope your not going to be anal about the etching. It never turns out like you imagine. But it still turns out cool. Anyways awesome work.

Thanks Clich. Believe me..I'm not gonna be anal about the etching..I have read ur thread as well as some others and realized that whatever's gonna be..will be, as far as etching lol.

Thanks again for the comments

Looks good. We wont tell you to search unless you ask something really bad like "How many Beckers are there?" or "Has anyone besides KA-BAR made Beckers?"

Very very nice. Gotta be honest, almost all home jimping jobs look like Helen Keller did 'em. This is some real clean work. Gonna take down the edges so they don't tear up your thumb?
