I keep forgetting to post to get my count up to be a beckerhead :D and I totally forgot about my EDC I spoke of in my BK2 sheath mod thread

Well I got the reminder yesterday when I got a nice scrape at the dump and no point in an infection, I left my bag with a better med kit at home so might as well use my BK11 kit

The kit can be worn as a neck knife or scout carry, its heavy but I don't mind the weight and 95% of the time wear it in scout carry (its gone through a few revisions and the firesteel is inside now but it carries the same so)

I have a small cut kit on the back of the BK11 sheath (Benadryl, 1 large, 1 medium & 1 small bandaid, 2 alcohol prep pads, 1 triple antibiotic & 1 burn cream packet)

I also have 1ft of jute twine and 2 cotton balls with vaseline shoved into 2" of plastic straw I melted over held on with two ranger (innertube) bands

The kit itself is a BK11 with deluxe leatherman sheath attached with zipties and breakaway chain for neck carry and paracord for the scout carry. I keep the inova XS flashlight clipped to the neck chain for security and it rides in the underside outer sleeve of the sheath. In the opposite sleeve is the bullet spacepen. In the inner sleeve behind the main compartment of the sheath is scout firesteel and striker and a Tops whistle. The leatherman is currently the wingman.

This is my edc when I'm not in nyc which is usually 3 days out of the week. This setup has been fantastic and I've been running it in this configuration since last March. Thanks for looking

Thanks guys. Yea I love that little knife I have 2 of them plus a 14. The 2nd 11 rides in my CC compartment of my 511 rush 6 and that's with me the days i'm in the city so technically there is a BK11 always with me just not always on me :D

Old pic of my bag & bk11, the bk11 has jute, cottonballs w/vaseline and a flat inova flashlight under the ranger bands, contents have changed a lot in the bag as I've found what works for me in the city and back home in the woods so I'm good no matter where I find myself and I don't have to think if I've got what I need.

That's a pretty awesome setup. I usually just keep a small bottle of rubbing alcohol on hand anytime I get cut or scraped on something rusty or dirty.

Thanks guys! One thing I forgot the wrap of the 11 that's in the bag is also an adjustable wrist lanyard if you wanted to chop or such it's more secure and it doubles as the draw string from the CCC of the bag. It's not a pretty wrap but it's very functional :-)

Pretty cool setup. Perfect size mini kit, too....I never thought about that as an EDC. You know, always gotta have the kit with a million items I'll never use ;). Great ideas, thanks for sharing!

I attached my BK11 to my Surge case - just used some paracord on the BK sheath, then threaded the Leatherman MOLLE through it. Nice combo of small fixed blade and tools.

I love the Surge, but it weighs a ton.

Nice, I'm thinking of a kit for my tankbag that I'm going to use the surge in because its got the bigger heavier duty pliers for things I may encounter while out on the bike just haven't figured out which knife yet as I go to the city a lot and nyc is not knife friendly, that's why I like the bk11 its under the 4" limit the city imposes among all the other convoluted intentionally vague and contradictory laws but I digress maybe I'll do one with the 14 this time :D
