Well let me preface this by saying this is a prototype. I will refine the design details when I make the next one. I didnt take too many pics as I made the sheath as I was designing as I went.

I then colored the leather with vinageroon. For those unfamiliar with vinageroon it is a leather coloring method that dates back to the middle ages, I say coloring because it chemically changes the color of the leather its not a dye or finish so to speak.

Here is a test piece.

The idea was to make a belt slide that could take multiple sheath, a
modular setup so to speak. It also happens that the belt slide can be put on the pants with the belt before putting on the pants, which helps since its belt loops straddle the back center belt loop of the pants.

Its hard to see in the pictures but the retention stud has a skull molded into its face.
