Bk11 owners with micarta have an annoyingly long front screw? Scratches my hand with use. What do you recommend? I didn't wanna just cut it or sand it because im afraid of messing up the threads.

You can cut it with a dremel just fine. Just thread the nut on first and take it off after cutting it.

Maybe hand file it down if you can get it in a vise or just use vise grip pliers and run it across a file. Another possible option is adding liners.

Hold it in a pair of vice grips and shorten it on your belt sander. The threads should be fine, but if you are worried about them you can put the nut on before you sand and when you remove it the burr will raise. Hit it with a file and call it good.

Go to hardware store and buy shorter bolt.

Post pics telling us how great a job you did with the belt sander.
