Bk11, my best friend!

So i just noticed the seperate forum for becker when i was reading up on what a beckerhead was lol. anyway i love my 11. the look and feel of it is great. it doesnt need scales in my opinion and the factory sheath with it is perfectly fine. theres just so many options for carrying it, and the size and profile even sheathed fits in my back pocket with less profile than my wallet.

The way i put 550 cord on the sheath i can carry it vertical, horizontal, or even on my leg as a boot knife without ever tying or untying a knot. simply by pulling the paracord a different way. but personally i like wearing it on my neck. well my wife and i got to talking and she said someone could just snatch it out the sheath from ur neck. so i stopped this from being possible as well by simply applying the knots as a safety switch. now unless someone knows they need to push the knots out the hole, the bk11 wont come unsheathed, and it doesnt take but a slight thumb push to release it from the sheath so i can still rapid deploy it.

i did this by simply pulling both knots out from the back of the sheath and sticking them thru the first loop of the knife handle.

So simple, so easy, and i couldnt be happier.

i understand theres no break-away on my necklace cord. i thought about making the knots small enough to pull out the eyelet hole when its yanked with any force but i havent decided to do it yet. the entire time i was in the army my dog tag chain was ran inside a gutted paracord piece. years i went like this and never had any issue with being choked. i do suggest a break-away, if i get choked it will be my own stupidity-

most definetly, its so simple and functional i though others might like it too.

i cant take mine off, it stays on the towel rack when im in the shower but then goes back on my neck.

Ill be getting more beckers but highly doubt any will replace this as my favorite knife.

There is something about paracord and a skeletonized handle that make a good looking blade. I like the thought and planning you have put into your carry system. Thanks for sharing!

And for people not wanting to wear it as a necklace a small piece of paracord could be used, tied to one eyelet with a big knot to go into the knife finger hole. keep it short so the knife cant be pulled down far.

ur welcome and i agree x10. i love the look of a skeleton, especially with an abnormal type handle. the normal style like the esee or bk14 is still cool but with a little different shape i believe the handle makes the knife stand out.

You can also piggyback your BK11 onto the sheath of a larger Becker.
