Howdy, folks.
I am in the market for a user neck knife and after countless hours worth of research, I feel much more informed... but still hopelessly indecisive on the subject.
One knife I keep coming back to time and time again is the BK11 Necker. I have read nothing but the best of reviews on this knife and would be very eager to wrap my mitts around one.
There is but one thing which concerns me... and that is corrosion. Now I know 1095 isn't going to disintegrate the second it becomes exposed to water and I have no intention of abusing the knife; however, one of the primary uses I have planned for this knife is fishing in the salt. Be it from the shore, from a boat or even *gulp* chest-deep wading. Because of this, cleaning the knife in fresh water within minutes... or even hours of exposure will not always be an option.
So, does anyone have any experience with their Necker in the salt or other such hash environments? If so, for how long has it seen this sort of treatment and how well has it taken it?
Thanks in advance!
