I have been looking into getting a BK11 or BK14 as an EDC fixed blade but I just don't know which one to choose:/ for all you owners of these knives can you please give me some input on which one you prefer, or which one you think is better.
Thanks

Both are great, but I got the 11 (pics will be forth coming in a few months :D) because it has a bottle opener and I prefer straight spine to butt.

The 14 has about 1/4" on the 11 in the handle area, as well as a built in biner hole if you for whatever reason want to clip it to something.

I say BK14, simply because it has a longer handle.

I cannot speak about the 14, but I have the 11.. It fits my hand nicely, but I have a medium sized hand. I like the 3.25" blade length and since I bought it with the intension to use it an an edc and to clean deer, it is the right size for me. The bottle opener/ wire cutter is used to secure a shock cord that i run from one of the eyelets in the sheath because the blade rattles slightly, but with the bit of shock cord it is tight without being overly secure. I added micarta handles which dress up the 11 very nice. Hope this gets you started..

I love my 11s but I love the 14 as well. Id say get both so you don't have to choose and then rotate between the 2. Let's face it you will always wonder about the one you didn't get so cut to the Chase like I said and get both. But wait to get the 14 until the 24 comes out in a few months time. If you don't know the 24 is the same knife as the 14 but it is made from D2. All the best.

14 for the win, it's got a nicer handle (my opinion) and the finger-guard is shaped more like a finger than a 90* angle like the 11 does. I also like the scales but there's a bunch of after market ones anyways... if you open a lot of bottles the BK11 might be more appealing, also depends on frequency & duration of use: BK14 is more comfortable for prolonged use, BK11 is fine for cutting stuff up and short jobs. All my opinion so take it for what it's worth.

Have both and the 14 wins by alot...Ergos are just so much better in comparison to the 11.

Only thing that could make the 14 better (Not counting sheaths and such) for some would be if Ka-Bar started making the Eskabar II (Longer handle like the izula II)...

I like the BK-11 better.
I've had two BK-14's and ended up getting rid of both of them.
I'll never get rid of my 11, ever!
Like many have said, the BK-14 does have a longer handle.
However, it's still not long enough in my opinion.
I just can't get a solid four finger grip on the 14.
I can get a solid three finger grip on the 11 and it provides a better purchase for me.
Plus the Ka-bar micarta on the 11 makes for better ergos than the 14 with Izula micarta.
I'd say get the 11. Then wait and get the BK-24 in D2 when it comes out.

i have the 11, i absolutely love it. i cant say anything about the 14 except it doesnt look as cool to me. i wanted a small fixed blade that was good for edc and use. i expect the handle to bea little small as i wanted a small fixed blade. i dont think the extra .5" is really going to make that much difference for me anyway. plus i like a few beers while im in the woods, not that i cant open a beer with a lighter or any knifes edge but with the bk11 i cant open a beer without everyone at the site wanting a bk11-

If you are adding scales then i dont think it matters either way but i honestly think the 11 looks better without scales and i think the 14 needs them-

BK14 for me. I don't need a bottle opener, and the handle on the BK11 is very uncomfortable to me.

I would say 14 for better handle grip but if you add a small lanyards/crown knot on an 11 it would act as a longer handle...

Don't have the 14, but I really like the 11- I have a set of wood grips on it, and the belt clip on the sheath. It carries really well, and can really perform for a small knife. My 2 cents...
