Seems to be a little hit and miss for kabar. My 16 and 62 came nicely sharpened. My BK4 needed some work. So did my 13. Good thing is, the 1095CV is easy enough to sharpen as not to take too much time. Honestly, no matter what knife I have, I always take some ceramic stones and a strop to them regardless.As I just joined the Becker club I have a question. The BK9 I just got needed only some stropping to shave . The little BK13 needed some work to shave hair. Which is normal? After the factory edge that came on the BK9 I was a little disappointed with the BK13 . It is sharp now
