so i was bored and after playing a bit with my BK9 i kinda remembered that it came with the BK13 i had completly forgotten about

i remember the first time i saw it i thought it was cool but pretty much useless because it was too small to handle right

so yesterday i decided to try and wrap it with paracord, now keep in mind that i don't have any other skeleton knife and have never done that!

so after a few tries here's what i came up with:

What i like about it is that the knife is now a lot more controlable ad you have a much better grip with the lanyard

the only downside is that it doesn't fit in it's little plastic sleeve but i still keep it in the BK9 sheat (in the larger pocket) until i figure something better

hey did you cut out the middlw section in the handle. T cant get that pattern to look rite because when it gets to the that middle cross section i either have to wrap twice and break the pattern of leave a gap where you can see the metal.

Any chance you could post up a vid on youtube of how to do this?

I like the wrap and fob alyx.
looks nice and very functional.

I've been thinking about a little 13 project myself...
It seems like a knife that is well thought out in it's basic design but it seems a bit...unfinished to me.

This impression is born out by little things like sharp corners, and the unpolished cutouts.

I am considering doing some filework.
Beveling the handle edges and jimping the spine.

I'm gonna see if i can figure out a useful wrap that only sits on the back half of the handle too since i just went to the trouble of taking the wiggle out of the plastic liner it sits in.

I agree with SOUTHSTAR's request. I should receive my BK-7 (and BK-13) this week. I would like to see a youtube HOWTO of the BK-13 wrap show by ALX21 as well. I'm still working through different ways to wrap my BK-11, but like the pattern on the BK-13.

Just a thought, it might still fit if you gut the cord before you wrap it.

btw...my BK13 is razor sharp, I know that's a term thats tossed around a lot, but it really is. And it seems to stay that way a good while, and return to it with only a few sharpening strokes.

440a? Made in China? Who cares? great little blade.
and a perfect compliment to a big honkin BK9.
